Neckar

The Neckar is a major tributary, entering the Rhine at Mannheim. Like the Rhine, the Neckar is used for many different purposes. Human activity has changed the area significantly, and so some natural features have disappeared. Only the upper course (the part of the river near the source) is still mostly untouched.
