The earth’s climate is changing. We call this climate change It does not mean that an area with a maritime climate will suddenly have a desert climate. But in a certain climate it might get a bit warmer on average, or it might rain more often. So we don’t actually get another climate, but some aspects of the climates are changing!
The earth’s temperature is rising. Some scientists think that it will be on average 5 degrees hotter in 2050 than it is now. This heating will make water evaporate more quickly and more often. Then more precipitation will fall and ice caps and glaciers will melt. Almost 70% of the earth is covered with water, and most of it is in seas, rivers and ice caps. But water does not stay still. All this water circulates in a great water cycle. Read more about the water cycle.
